The Ovide project is designed to identify the benefits and uses of online and digital video in teacher education. More than 30 cases studies, use different pedagogical approaches that illustrate how to use such video in teacher education are demonstrated on this website.
Literature
There is a great deal of literature describing use of video in teacher education. This website provides an entry to a selection of this literature,in order that teacher educators can easily find detailed information about the background of using video for their own teaching.
Lessons Learned
For several years, video has been used in teacher education. The literature and the case studies on this website provide many useful ideas that other teacher educators might benefit from. It also provides information, hints and tips to help others to avoid potentially problematic use of the technology.
Key Issues
Using video in teacher education does not only imply the thought about pedagogical approach, but implies also technical, ethical and legal issues. This is discussed in the Key Issues part of this website
